Two-time Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray will look back on his performance at the Stockholm Open with a degree of positivity after he reached the quarter finals, beating top seed Jannik Sinner in the process.

Despite missing out on a first ATP semi-final appearance since October 2019, Murray continued his recent improvements and hopes to consistently once again ‘go deep’ in tournaments. The former World No 1 has been training with Johanna Konta’s form coach Esteban Carril and it would appear that the Spaniard will be part of Murray’s team next season given his recent upturn in form.

It has been an encouraging end to the year for Murray after his well-documented struggle with injuries and hip surgery. He has managed to play in eight tournaments since the US Open in September and will look to build on the momentum going into 2022.
