Team Europe extended their unbeaten record in the Laver Cup as they dominated Team World to claim a resounding 14-1 victory in Boston.
It is the fourth version of the competition and is essentially tennis’ answer to golf’s Ryder Cup. The previous three editions of the tournament were a lot closer and had gone to the final round of matches. However, this year saw a much more conclusive triumph for the Europeans who will look to make it five wins out of five when the Laver Cup goes to the O2 Arena in London next year.
Winning captain Bjorn Borg said “I’m a proud captain. I’m proud of my team, what you guys did. To spend a week with you together, it’s amazing.”
